Gavin fears quiet cars a fan turn-off

Corvette sportscar star Oliver Gavin has urged the rulemakers to ensure that the move towards green technology does not reduce the noise appeal of Le Mans racing. The dramatic engine note of the Corvette GT cars has made them a fan favourite, whereas the diesel-powered generation of works LMP1 cars were significantly quieter.
